Royal Caribbean hasn't revealed much about the new Royal Railway restaurant but said the dining experience will use tech "to travel to any place and time." As would the more traditional theater, which plans to put on Broadway-esque performances. June 2023 – Ice cream poolside is sweeter than ever on Utopia of the Seas. A longtime favorite, Sprinkles sports a new sprinkles bar with different types of sprinkle toppings to go with a choice of three ice cream flavors - vanilla, chocolate, strawberry or a mix. Utopia of the Seas has no shortage of bars and lounges for guests to explore. Some fan-favorites are returning, like Playmakers, Boleros, and the Schooner Bar.

Knowing a cruise ship offers dedicated kids' clubs or childcare programs can be a huge deal for traveling families — including mine, as I remember feeling bored as a kid on vacation with my parents and their grown-up friends. When my husband and I travel with couples who have small children or teens, it's nice to know we can still enjoy some adult time on board while the littles have a blast hanging out with guests their own age in a safe, supervised environment. Traditionally, major cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean have devoted their newest and biggest ships to seven-night sailings — a more lucrative market — and placed older and smaller vessels on shorter runs.

And for cocktails with your crew, look no further than the stylish Suite Lounge. Utopia of the Seas will feature five pools that range from upbeat to lowkey. Three resort-style sloping-entry pools accompanied by three Lime & Coconut bars will be at the heart of the ship's pool deck.
At the AquaTheater, the deepest pool at sea, guests can watch as world-class divers dazzle with deck-defying acrobatics, stunts and synchronized swimming. The ice-skating shows are just as awe-inspiring, featuring a talented team of figure skaters that will wow you with their dizzying spins and graceful jumps. And of course, you can look forward to incredible Broadway-style musicals in the ship's main theater, performed every evening for your family's viewing pleasure. Utopia of the Seas℠ goes big and bold on flavors, no matter what you or your kids are in the mood for.

At the time the class began rolling out, the vessels were around 40% bigger than the next-biggest cruise ships, and they have continued to be the biggest and most amenity-laden ships in the world ever since. The late-night menu (served after 9 PM) has various items priced between $3-9, including Fried Green Tomatoes, Blue Crab Beignets, Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich. Per person pricing/cover charges are US$25 (Brunch) and US$40 (Dinner), children 6-12 dine for US$11, kids under 6 dine for free. June 2023 – The new, ultimate 3- to 4-night getaway, Utopia of the Seas, will visit Perfect Day at CocoCay for more thrills and ways to chill in one trip than ever before. Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas features 13 waterslides, the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas, pools of all sizes and vibes, white sand beaches, and more. Utopia of the Seas will focus on short getaway itineraries from Port Canaveral.
The first sailing is currently slated for July 19, a three-day cruise to the Bahamas and Perfect Day at CocoCay. Royal Caribbean's staple Asian restaurant Izumi will be located in Central Park and will feature twice as many teppanyaki tables and new al fresco seating. Next door, Izumi in the Park will serve sushi and Japanese-inspired sweets to-go.
Royal Caribbean has yet to announce the total number of cabins on Utopia of the Seas. But the cruise line has revealed that the ship will feature 20 types of accommodations. Suites such as Royal Loft Suite and Ultimate Family Suite will be available on Utopia of the Seas, as well as an all-new category named Solarium Suites. Other dining venues set to return include The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, Windjammer, Hooked Seafood and Chops Grille, which will also now be connected to Trellis Bar. Royal Caribbean's signature slide Ultimate Abyss will be 43 feet longer (for a total length of 295 feet) aboard Utopia of the Seas than on sister ships and will feature new zoom booster rollers and transparent racing windows.
Each will feature a huge living room, a dining area and an infinite balcony. The infinite balcony technology, which Royal Caribbean debuted on Icon of the Seas, allows guests to lower a large window at the touch of a button to let fresh air into their room. Utopia of the Seas will feature 2,830 cabins and suites, with more than 20 types of accommodations to suit every budget and group size. They include inside (windowless) cabins, ocean-view cabins and balcony cabins. Cruisers can choose from varied suite options, including the new posh Solarium Suites, exclusively on Utopia of the Seas.
Utopia of the Seas will top Wonder in size, but will have fewer staterooms than its sister ship. Of course, Royal Caribbean would not debut the biggest and boldest Oasis Class ship without making some modifications, meaning that there will be some venues, staterooms, and other features not found on any other Oasis vessel in the fleet. Utopia of the Seas' design and layout will mirror the line's last new Oasis Class ship, Wonder of the Seas, launched in 2022. Like other Oasis Class vessels, the ship will feature individual "neighborhoods," each with its unique vibe. The Royal Promenade will be the ship's main thoroughfare, lined with shops, restaurants, cafes, nightclubs and bars. Like other Royal Caribbean vessels, Utopia of the Seas will teem with family-focused attractions like multiple pool areas, a kiddie splash zone, surfing simulators, a zip line and a two-story dry slide called the Ultimate Abyss.
During the ceremony, newly minted coins were placed under the first hull block (weighing 948 tons) for good luck, according to the maritime tradition. The 17-month-long drydock construction process included the assembly of a total of 74 steel blocks. Unlike Wonder OTS, Utopia has 50 fewer staterooms (2824 vs 2874) to allow the space needed for the LNG tanks. The vessel also has a different powerplant based on Wartsila 46TS-DF (dual-fuel, medium-speed, two-stage turbocharging) marine engines that can run on both diesel and LNG-gas. A total of 24 elevators (12x forward + 12x aft) provide access all the way to deck 16, while decks 17 and 18 are accessed by 6 lifts. In comparison to the other sisterships, Oasis-Plus Class boats are heavier, wider and with bigger passenger capacity.
You’ll earn bragging rights daily with 18 adrenaline-pumping slides and pool hop till you drop with countless ways to make a splash – onboard and onshore at our award-winning private island Perfect Day at CocoCay. This is the World’s Biggest Weekend – arriving in Port Canaveral July 2024. In a first for Royal Caribbean, Utopia will enter service offering just short cruises.
June 2023 – One of the 40-plus ways to dine and drink on the ultimate short getaway, Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, Chops Grille serves its signature prime cuts for a memorable night out in Central Park. Plus, now connected to the restaurant is the tried-and-true Trellis Bar, with its menu of pre-dinner drinks like cocktails, wine and bubbly. Utopia is the getaway for everyone – even when it comes to the rooms vacationers can choose from. Step your bar crawl way up across 21 bottle-popping spots serving craft cocktails and libations and five chart-topping live music venues with chart-toppers night after night. Or steal the spotlight yourself and belt out your favourite tunes at karaoke. And jaw-droppingly spectacular shows will blow your mind on stage, ice, air and water.
June 2023 – The ultimate short getaway, Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas, will feature Izumi in the Park. Joining the Izumi restaurant in its new Central Park location, the new and convenient all-day window serves up fresh sushi and Japanese-inspired street food and sweets, like taiyaki ice cream with Insta-worthy toppings, and more. June 2023 – The poolside food truck on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas is a brand-new spot in the heart of the pool deck that serves up quick, casual bites for vacationers to refuel and enjoy their pool days nonstop. The ultimate 3- and 4-night getaway will also make waves when it debuts in July 2024 as the first Oasis Class ship powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the cleanest-burning marine fuel to date. One of the new dining experiences set to debut on Utopia of the Seas is The Spare Tire. This new poolside food truck will serve quick bites and handheld meals, including pulled pork sandwiches, cheeseburger flatbread, and daily rotating desserts.
Royal Caribbean hopes to draw a new crowd of never-cruised-before travelers by focusing on short three- and four-night itineraries that allow folks to sample cruising without too much of a commitment. It's the first time the line has earmarked a new Oasis Class ship for short-cruise service from its beginning. When it debuts, Utopia of the Seas will be far bigger, newer and more amenity-packed than any other cruise ship sailing short itineraries in North America. In addition to the incredible onboard activities and restaurants Utopia of the Seas℠ offers cruisers of all ages, the ship's accommodations show a clear family focus. There are staterooms on board to suit groups and families of all kinds, including plenty of options for connecting rooms. You can take your pick of spacious staterooms with stunning views and upgraded amenities, like a sprawling Ocean View Large Balcony or an Ultra Spacious Ocean View Balcony.
